Mad For Mad Men

Ladies and Gentlemen, we are a mere eleven days away from the Mad Men Season Four premier. Other than all the brilliant design that goes into the show, I love all the brilliant design the show inspires in other people. Like these amazing posters by Christina Perry. They combine three of my loves: pocket squares, Mad Men, and great design.

Fishy ABCs

I know I already posted one Kottke story today, but I couldn’t help posting another because this is just too cute. James Mattison created the most adorable ABC poster for his daughter based on things that live in the sea. I love everything about this, from the illustrations to the animal selection to the colors. At first I thought it would be cute to design a child’s room around this poster, but now I am starting to think that I want to design my own room around it.

Bring back Pluto!

Kottke posted a great story today about all the mail the Natural History Museum received after Pluto got demoted. A lot of this hate mail came from children, for example from Mr. Will Galmot, whose moving letter is reproduced below.
