Saturday Wishlist

Sorry I’ve been sort of absent this week. Here’s the short version of my wishlist from the past few days.

1. Sony Alpha NEX5 Camera It’s the smallest camera with interchangeable lenses. It has all sorts of fancy features like a “14.2 megapixel APS-C sensor, a new E-mount lens system, 1080p video recording, ISO 12,800 sensitivity, 25-point autofocus, and a tiltable 3-inch LCD screen.” Plus it has some of the most convenient features of Sony’s point-and-shoots such as hand-help twilight mode. {from Uncrate}

2. Philips EnduraLCD Lightbulbs It last 25 times longer and uses 80% less energy than the standard 60 watt incandescent lightbulb. {from NotCot, press release from Philips}

3. Want Les Essentiels De La Vie Black Shopper Bag I’m a big fan of simple bags. Jack Spade and Lonchamp are my standard go-to brands when I’m searching for a new bag. So I love this black shopper. It’s simple and sleek. Perfect. {from Selectism}

Office Supply Lust

I really really love office supplies. When I was a child I loved going to Office Depot every August and selecting which binders and pens and assignment notebooks I would use for the upcoming school year. I remember once I actually counted out sheets of notebook paper so that I would have equal amounts of paper in each of my classes. Sadly I now have less need for office supplies, but I still obsess over them.

Like this amazing set from Doane. I probably don’t NEED any of this, but I am still awfully infatuated with it. I can’t tell if I like the colorful little utility notebooks or the reporter-style “flapper” notebooks better.

I love a man in a suit

Only if it’s a perfectly tailored suit, of course.

I love these Wall Street-inspired suits from Indochino, as seen on Uncrate. I love everything  about menswear: browsing suits online, poaching shirts and sweaters for my own closet, examining fabrics for dress shirts, etc. And there is nothing like watching a physically fit man move in a perfectly tailored suit or tux. These Indochino suits feel like a cross between Chuck Bass and Don Draper; I’m not sure what more I could want from a suit.
